FEATURED COOKBOOK AUTHOR. DEMONSTRATION.  Priya, a native Dallasite, has compiled a collection of her family's greatest hits that are about 60% traditional Indian food, 40% Indian with other influences, and mostly vegetarian. She'll convince you that Indian food is everyday food as she shows you how to create healthy, affordable  meals  that come together quickly and deliver on flavor. You'll pick up tips on pairing wine with:

Peanut Chutney;
Quinoa & Shrimp Pulao;  

Beet & Avocado Kachumber (A Salad with Fresh Vegetables & Citrus); and

Shrikhand (Sweetened Yogurt with Spices).


INSTRUCTOR: Priya Krishna, Food Writer; Cookbook Author

INDIAN-ISH: Recipes & Antics From A Modern American Family will be available for sale and Ms. Krishna will personalize books after class.

Ms. Krishna grew up in Dallas, oversaw Marketing and Events for the late, lamented Lucky Peach magazine, and has contributed to the New York TImes, Bon Apetit, and The New Yorker. Her food inspiration is her mother who creates one of a kind recipes that meld the best of a variety of cuisines with traditional Indian dishes and has becomes somewhat of an expert in pairing Indian food with wine.
